First Blog Post

This is my first blog post and I thought I should share why I decided to start blogging. I have always had a passion for writing. I grew up writing short fictional stories and poetry. As I got older I gravitated more to scholarly work. Right now is the best time to start blogging as I am in the process of writing a book that I will share more about, so stay tuned!

While, blogging is still new to me, writing down my thoughts and ideas is a habit I formed since I was young. When I was young I always kept a diary where I would write down my thoughts and ideas; my diary was a purple book with a small flimsy lock that I’m sure could have just been ripped open with little effort. Inside it I wrote down all my poems, song lyrics, and of course my thoughts. I’m sure if I read it today it would consist of ramblings from an emotional unstable adolescent.

I really think you can grow through sharing your ideas. I’m sure some of my views will not resonate with some of you and others might see more eye to eye with me. Either way I look forward to sharing and learning through this process.
